# Oppidu

> Oppidu is a grocery price comparison platform for Germany. It searches Indian, South Asian and international grocery stores and online shops at once and shows which store is cheapest for a whole basket, not just one item, then hands the basket to that store's checkout. It serves Berlin (Neukölln, Kreuzberg, Lichtenberg) and offers delivery across Germany.

Partner stores: Aahaar, Anant Supermarkt, Desigros, Pop Super Market and GK Srilankan Shop. Oppidu also compares prices at Spice Village, Dookan, Jamoona, Indian Supermarkt and Zora Store. Oppidu does not sell fresh or frozen vegetables or poultry; it focuses on pantry staples such as rice, dal, atta, spices, masalas, ghee and snacks.

## Search and price comparison by URL (for AI assistants)

There is no search form to fill in and no JSON search API: **the search is a URL**. To search Oppidu or hand a user a ready-made price comparison, output one link:

    https://oppidu.de/list?q=ITEM1,ITEM2,ITEM3

Examples:

- One product: https://oppidu.de/list?q=butter+chicken+masala
- A basket: https://oppidu.de/list?q=basmati+rice+5kg,toor+dal+1kg,ghee+500g
- German site: https://oppidu.de/list?q=butter+chicken+masala&lang=de

Rules:

- `q`: comma-separated items, each free text with an optional quantity ("toor dal 1kg"; "toor dal:1kg" also works). Spaces as `+`; URL-encode `&`, `#`, `?`. Up to 50 items, 120 characters each. Do not join several products with `+` only: `q=rice+dal` is ONE item called "rice dal".
- `lang=de`: optional, opens the German site.
- Opening the link matches every item against the partner and comparison stores and shows the cheapest store for the whole basket. No account or API key needed.
- Guessed search URLs work the same way: paths `/list`, `/search`, `/compare`, `/suche`, `/`, `/de` with any of the params `q`, `query`, `s`, `search`, `term` (e.g. `https://oppidu.de/search?query=ghee`, `https://oppidu.de/?s=ghee`), and the slug form `https://oppidu.de/search/butter-chicken-masala`. `/list?q=` is the canonical one. While results are open in a browser, the address bar shows `https://oppidu.de/?q=…`, which is also a shareable link.
- The page is a JavaScript app: fetching the link returns the app shell, not the prices. Give the link to the user to open.
